3. Permitted Uses
Accredited providers are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to display the accreditation mark in connection with the specific accredited activity. Permitted uses include:
- Certificates of completion issued to participants who have completed the accredited activity
- Course descriptions, programme specifications, and learning materials provided to participants
- Marketing materials, website content, and promotional communications specifically relating to the accredited activity
- CPD records and attendance documentation
The mark must be accompanied by the accreditation reference number and the validity period. The mark must not be used in any manner that suggests endorsement of the provider's business generally, or that extends accreditation to activities other than the specific accredited activity.
4. Conditions of Use
The accreditation mark must be reproduced accurately and without modification. The mark must not be altered, distorted, recoloured, or combined with other logos or symbols. The mark must be displayed at a minimum size sufficient to ensure legibility, and must maintain clear space around it equivalent to at least the height of the shield element.
Use of the accreditation mark is conditional upon the activity holding a valid and subsisting accreditation. Use of the mark must cease immediately upon expiry, suspension, or withdrawal of accreditation. The accredited provider must remove the mark from all materials within seven days of accreditation ceasing and must confirm removal in writing to LegalCPD.
Unauthorised use of the accreditation mark, including use after accreditation has lapsed or been withdrawn, constitutes a breach of the Terms of Accreditation and may result in legal action to protect the intellectual property and reputation of LegalCPD.
5. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the LegalCPD accreditation mark, including the shield crest, the LegalCPD name, and all associated branding elements, are and remain the exclusive property of LegalCPD. No rights in the mark are transferred to any accredited provider other than the limited licence described in this document. The licence to use the mark does not create any partnership, agency, or joint venture between LegalCPD and the accredited provider.
